Skirlington Market & Car Boot was founded more than 30 years ago and is located on the site of Skirlington Leisure Park.. Skirlington Leisure Park is located near Skipsea on the beautiful East Yorkshire coast has over 70 acres of parkland adjoining open countryside and the sea.. The park has a David Bellamy award for conservation. The leisure site was originally a farm and the market continues to make use of the farm buildings today. The old agricultural barns have become the large indoor market and now house The Cow Shed Bar, Cafes, Farm Shop and a fantastic range of stalls. A refurbishment of the indoor market began in January 2018 and is now just about completed; bringing a smart new a fresh new feel to the market. Locals and holiday makers alike flock to Skirlington year after year and this is why it continues to be Yorkshire’s biggest and best Sunday Market & Car Boot.
Open every Sunday 9am to 4pm (Closed January) & Bank Holiday Mondays. Also open on Wednesdays during the Kids Summer Break only (Please note that on Bank Holiday Mondays and Wednesdays the market is smaller than on a Sunday)

The Car boot site is just a short walk past the pond from the main market site. This thriving boot sale has hard-standing, gravel and grass pitches available. Sellers can arrive from 6am and there are a constant stream of cars and vans arriving until 9am. Many buyers are also there early – keen to find the best bargains.
For sellers; See Selling Essentials for a quick guide/links to buy what you need. Skirlington is a strictly SECOND HAND ONLY Car Boot Sale. There is no need to book your space as we have plenty of room. Simply turn up from 6am onward and you will be directed into a space. You will need to bring your own display equipment; this may be pasting tables or simply a rug to lay on the floor to display your wares. It is a good plan to have an idea how much you want for your items (pricing labels are ideal) as it can be very busy from the moment you open your car boot! Rents will be collected between 8am – 10am. Packing up commences 1pm (gates are locked until 1pm).
For Buyers; Buyers are welcome to arrive from 6am but mostly arrive after 8am once the Car Booters have had time to set up and are ready for business. There’s a 30p per adult entry charge (kids free)
Can I sell new goods at the Car Boot? No, we do not allow new goods to be sold at the Car Boot at Skirlington. This is due to the proximity of our market. New goods are to be sold on the market site only.
